Welcome to the Tourist Information Centre (TIC)

The Tourist Information Centre aims to advise locals, visitors and those considering moving to the area.

The staff have excellent local knowledge and will advise visitors on how they might get the best out of their visit to Wells.

A visit to the Centre will provide advice, booklets and free maps, as well as a variety of local magazines. A small variety of souvenirs, some locally produced, are also sold in the centre.

Meet & Greet Ambassadors

Local volunteers operate in Wells from April to September. These volunteers can be easily recognised wearing their 'blue-gilets' and named lanyards and are located through the city. They typically hand out maps and offer valuable local information to arrivals in the city.

Passengers will be met by a Wells Ambassador on arrival and given relevant information.  Drivers can take advantage of free cake and drink at the Bishops' Palace.  

The volunteers operate:

Monday - Saturday 10am - 3pm
Sunday 12pm - 2pm
