Bach Piano: Angela Hewitt
Friday 8th June 2018
Wells Cathedral School
The Complete Well-Tempered Clavier
“When I was a kid, I dreamt of being in a musical because I loved to sing and dance. Perhaps that’s why I’m so preoccupied with making the piano do the same. Music is mostly song and dance anyway.” – Angela Hewitt
One of the world’s most distinguished pianists, Angela Hewitt is especially celebrated for her interpretations of Bach. In 2016 she embarked on an epic ‘Bach Odyssey’, playing all of his keyboard works in London, New York, Tokyo, and Ottawa. We are thrilled that she is bringing a major element of that journey to Wells, performing the complete 48 Preludes and Fugues. If you come to no other concerts this year, don’t miss these.
Angela also has a masterclass on Monday 11th June, for more details please click here
