Here is something quite different! A mediaeval holiday ‘cottage’ for two, self-contained, in the heart of Wells, a few feet from the Cathedral and the gardens of the Bishop’s Palace. Part of an early mediaeval house, which fell into disuse in the 17th Century, and was eventually used for keeping pigs, has been converted into holiday accommodation of great charm and character. Next-door to The Black Dog!
The cottage with its white-washed walls, old beams, and pan-tiled roof are quiet and secluded, close to the famous wells. A small south-facing patio area of the large adjoining garden has chairs, table and sun umbrella. There is a separate access to the cottage via a mediaeval stone doorway. Own parking in the garden (invaluable in the centre of Wells!).
